The gantry (double column) machining centers of the DL xx16 series are suitable for machining large pieces. The useful strokes of the X axis can be 3,000 – 4,000 mm, the useful stroke on the Y axis is 1,600 mm, in the Z axis: 1.000 mm. The distance between the columns (passing light) is 1,800 mm. The crosspiece is entirely in cast iron, the particular support of the slide (Y axis) has a square fixing (90 °) ensuring great rigidity and excluding “falls” of the axes even during heavy machining. The machine has a structure that can equip a gearbox and ISO 50 spindle and the standard spindle is ISO-BT 40 which allows significant removal.
The standard tool change is 40 ARM TYPE positions (random), complete fairing with front and rear opening to facilitate the assembly of the pieces to be machined, optional is the Top-Cover. Numerous options: high pressure through the 30 bar spindle, pressurized optoelectronic lines, range change, electrospindle, etc …, can be implemented in order to make the machine available for any type of machining on any type of material.
